The SB20 Malta Association and the Royal Malta Yacht Club deeply regret to announce the cancellation of the 2024 SB20 European Championships, which were set to be held in Malta.
Due to recent challenges being faced by the international SB20 Class, it has become clear that hosting the event at this time would not achieve the positive impact we had envisioned for bringing such a prestigious event to Malta.
While this decision was difficult to make, we remain optimistic about the future of the SB20 Class, both locally and internationally. We view this as a temporary setback and are confident that, together, we will overcome these challenges and continue to foster the growth of this exciting sport.
We appreciate the understanding and support of our community and look forward to future opportunities to host world-class sailing events in Malta.
